Christmas Angel Tree
For many, the Christmas Season is a time of happiness, laughter, family and celebration. For some, it is a time of sadness, worry, stress and loneliness. The Christmas Angel Tree project at St. Bede hopes to lessen the sadness, worry, stress and loneliness felt by some during the Christmas season.
Since 1992, the St. Bede Christmas Angel Tree project has been providing over 200 gifts per year to needy organizations in and around the Greater Pittsburgh area. Those who are blessed by this project are: Auberle, Bethlehem Haven, Every Child, Inc., Holy Family, Life Line and parishioners in need.
How You Can Help
The weekend before Thanksgiving, you can stop at the back of St. Bede Church after any of the masses and choose an angel ornament from the Christmas tree. The ornament will tell you the recipient’s name, age and gender and an item that they are hoping for. On the date specified, return the wrapped gift with the angel ornament secured to the outside of the present.
Volunteers are needed between Thanksgiving and Christmas for a variety of tasks, such as, making the angel ornaments, registering the angels and gathering the gift.
If your family is in need and you would like to be included on the Christmas Angel Tree, please contact Mary Jo Goldcamp or Sister Mary Elizabeth, Pastoral Associate.

“Thank you again for all that you do to coordinate the Angel Tree at St. Bede. We are so grateful for all your help. The children receiving all
these gifts will be so excited! Merry Christmas!”
