The Martha’s Ministry provides support to families and individuals who need an extra pair of hands during an illness or crisis. This support includes providing meals, giving a ride, grocery shopping, running errands – whatever might be needed during a trying time.
This service is provided to members of the St. Bede Church community and can last for as long as a family or individual may need.
In the past, the Martha’s Ministry volunteers have helped parishioners after births, during illnesses, during and after hospitalizations and after the death of loved ones.
But help is not only given when there is crisis or tragedy. Help with everyday needs is also something that the Martha’s Ministry is happy to give. Some examples of this are grocery shopping, running errands or rides to doctor appointments.
How You Can Help
Currently, the Martha’s Ministry has approximately 15 volunteers ready to help but they are always looking for new volunteers. Volunteering would include helping to provide the support mentioned above and would be based on an individual’s schedule and availability.
