Spaghetti Dinner
January

The Spaghetti Dinner is an annual tradition, held on a Friday in January.  The delicious fare is served up by the proprietors of Pino’s Contemporary Italian Restaurant.  Top of your meal with a sweet treat from our bake sale.  In past years, the proceeds from the bake sale have benefitted the Future City Competition, an identified charity, or other cause.   Many volunteers are needed for set-up, clean-up, baking, and more.

SBAA’s Mardi Gras
Saturday before Ash Wednesday

On the Saturday before Ash Wednesday, the school gym is transformed into the French Quarter.  The evening is filled with good food and drink, friends and games of chance.  This is an event that everyone looks forward to.  Not only is it enjoyable, it is a major fundraiser for the SBAA.   Come and help to support the athletic programs of Saint Bede.

Easter Egg Hunt
Easter Sunday

Every Easter Sunday the rectory lawn is transformed.  It becomes the site of a great Easter egg hunt.  After the Easter Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass, the children, dressed in their Easter best, hunt for the hidden eggs.  This tradition began many years ago and is one that the children look forward to each year.  If you would like to help with the annual tradition, please contact Sister Mary Elizabeth.

Appalachian Mission Drive

The generosity of the St. Bede parishioners reaches far and wide.  Since 1988, the parish has held Appalachian Mission Drive for the poor of Eastern Kentucky.  The commitment continues every November to support the mission’s efforts to help the poor in this region through donations of clothing (especially children’s), toys, cribs, household items, bedding and usable furniture.
